Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the BG Remover Pro Mac app ("the app") and the website bulkbgremove.org ("the site"). By downloading, installing, buying or using either one, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Who we are

BG Remover Pro is operated by Deepam Mishra ("we", "us"), an individual developer. You can reach us at support@bulkbgremove.org. See the Contact page for how we handle support requests.

2. What you get

BG Remover Pro removes image backgrounds, and offers cropping, enhancement and an object remover, on your own Mac. The app processes your images on your computer.

  • Free trial. You can process your first 20 images free, with every feature unlocked and no account. After that you need a license key to keep processing images.
  • License. A purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app. You may use it for personal and commercial work, including work for clients.
  • Devices. One license key can be active on up to 3 Macs at a time. To move it, open Enhance → License on the old Mac and choose Deactivate this Mac, then activate on the new one.
  • Requirements. The app needs a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Intel Macs are not supported. Please check this before you buy.
  • Updates. We may release updates and new versions. If a future major version is not included in your license, we will say so when it is released.

3. Price and payment

  • Prices are shown in the checkout, including any launch pricing, which can change over time. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
  • The license is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and there are no per-image fees.
  • Payments are handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. Your payment details go to them, and we never see or store your card number. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Taxes, where they apply, are shown at checkout.
  • After you pay, your license key is emailed to you. Keep that email safe.

4. Activating your license

Activating needs an internet connection once. The app then works offline, and checks your license with our server from time to time. It keeps working without a connection for up to 7 days between checks. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is sent.

5. Your images

  • Your images stay on your Mac. We do not receive, upload, store or look at them.
  • You keep all rights in your images and in the results.
  • You are responsible for having the right to edit the images you process, and for how you use the results.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • share, resell or publish your license key, or use it on more Macs than your license allows;
  • bypass, disable or tamper with the license checks or the free-trial limit;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law gives you that right regardless of this clause;
  • use the app to break the law or to edit content you have no right to use.

7. Refunds

Our Refund Policy is part of these Terms. In short: you can ask for a refund within 7 days of purchase. A refunded license key is deactivated.

8. Ending a license

You can stop using the app at any time. We may deactivate a license key if it has been refunded or charged back, if it is being used beyond its limits, or if it was obtained by fraud. We will tell you why if we do.

9. Open-source and third-party software

The app includes open-source software and AI models that come with their own licenses (for example U2-Net and LaMa, both Apache-2.0). Those licenses apply to those parts. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under them.

10. AI results and no guarantee

AI background removal is not perfect. Results can be wrong on fine hair, glass, smoke and low-contrast edges, and you should check every result before you use it. The app and the site are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that they will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data;
  • our total liability to you for anything related to the app or the site is limited to the amount you paid us for your license.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights where you live.

12. Our property and trademarks

The app, the site, the name BG Remover Pro and its logo belong to us. Other names mentioned, such as remove.bg, belong to their owners. BG Remover Pro is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the app or the site after a change, you accept the updated Terms. If a change would reduce your rights in a significant way, we will tell you by email or on the site.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you live in the United States (or anywhere else with mandatory consumer-protection laws), those laws and your local rights still apply to you and are not limited by this clause. Before starting any formal dispute, please email us so we can try to fix it first.
