Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the BG Remover Pro Mac app ("the app") and the website bulkbgremove.org ("the site") collect, why, and what your choices are. BG Remover Pro is operated by Deepam Mishra ("we", "us"), who is responsible for your data under this policy.

The short version

  • Your images never leave your Mac. The app processes them on your computer. We never receive, upload, store or look at your images, so they cannot be used to train AI.
  • The app has no analytics or tracking. It only talks to our server to check your license.
  • We keep the minimum needed to sell and support the license: your purchase email, payment status and which Macs your key is activated on.
  • The website uses Google Analytics to count visits.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

What the app does and does not send

Never sent: your images, file names, or the results.

Sent only to check your license (to our license server at bulkbgremove.org):

  • your license key (we keep only a one-way hash of it and its last 4 characters);
  • an identifier derived from your Mac's hardware, so one key is not used on more Macs than allowed;
  • your Mac's device name and the app version.

The app checks again from time to time, and keeps working offline for up to 7 days between checks.

Stored on your Mac: your license activation and your free-trial count, in your macOS Keychain.

One download: the first time you use the AI Object Remover, the app downloads an AI model file (about 200 MB) from Hugging Face. That host can see your IP address, as with any download. No image data is involved.

What we hold about customers

When you buy, we and our payment provider handle:

  • your email address, your customer and payment IDs, the payment status (paid, refunded, disputed) and the license key status;
  • the list of Macs your key is activated on (hardware-derived ID, device name, app version, first and last seen);
  • records of payment notifications we receive, so each is processed once.

We use this to deliver and verify your license, send your key, give support, handle refunds and meet accounting duties.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. They collect your payment details and billing information under their own privacy policy. We never see your card number.

Email

Your license key email is sent from licenses@bulkbgremove.org through Cloudflare Email Sending. If you write to support@bulkbgremove.org we keep the conversation so we can help you.

The website

  • Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they are from. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and receives your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you view. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings or use Google's opt-out add-on.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site and our license server. Like any host, it processes request data such as your IP address to deliver pages, protect against abuse and limit request rates.
  • We do not use advertising cookies and do not sell or share your data for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep customer records for as long as your license exists, plus as long as we need for support, accounting and legal reasons. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account. You can ask us to delete your data (see below), except where we must keep records by law.

Where your data goes

Our providers (Cloudflare, Google, Dodo Payments and others) may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and India. Their own policies describe the safeguards they use.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK law, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to ask us to see, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain uses. Email support@bulkbgremove.org from the address you used to buy, and we will reply within 2 business days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

BG Remover Pro is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site or by email.
